A new, affordable space for artists and antiquers to show their stuff.
By Neil Cooney · What Now Las Vegas

Ahead of BARTER's doors opening, What Now Las Vegas covered the mall's mission as an affordable art and antiques haven in the Arts District — answering the squeeze of rising rents pushing artists and dealers out of the neighborhood.
The story highlighted the 6,000-plus-square-foot space with a bar by the entrance serving cans, wine and seltzer — “the only antique mall in the area where you can enjoy a beverage while you shop,” under the brand's slogan “Beer. Art. Loot.” It also told the origin story through partners Steve Sansonetti, Dr. Suzanne Roozendaal and Derek Stonebarger, whose ReBAR bar and upcoming Arty's Steakhouse share the same community-minded approach.
“We're going to really try to create a community where we can all help each other,” Sansonetti said of the collaborative spirit — helping artists, lifting each other up on social media, and joining in the city's downtown reinvention.
